WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
The SoWa Open Market is a juried market. All applicants are reviewed for acceptance. It is our goal to have a wide variety of products offered at the market with little or no duplication. We are currently accepting applications for the following types of vendors:

» Artisans

SELLING SEASONS—MONTHS, DAYS OF THE WEEK, AND HOURS OF OPERATION:
The SoWa Open Market operates May 6, 2012 through October 28, 2012. Selling day is Sunday. Selling times are from 10AM-4PM.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
The SoWa Open Market is a juried market. All applicants are required to submit 3 photos of their work for review. Online applicants will be notified within one week. You may apply as either a RESERVED vendor or a STAND-BY vendor as explained below. Click HERE to apply online for the 2012 season.
RESERVED STATUS:
IMPORTANT: by choosing reserved status, you are making a commitment to the SoWa Open Market. You are automatically put into the system for those dates and will be billed electronically. If you are not prepared to make the five-day commitment, please apply as a stand-by vendor.
STAND-BY STATUS:
IMPORTANT: Please be aware that there is no guarantee that stand-by space will be available. You will be turned away if the market and/or your product category is already full. Stand-by vendors who have not juried into the market will be turned away.
SHARING SPACE:
Two vendors may share space at the market. However both parties must submit applications and be approved.

10’ x 20’ – $175
STAND-BY FEES
10’ x 10’ – $125 – paid day of event
10’ x 20’ – $200 – paid day of event
VIP PASS INFO
Two season passes will be available this season to vendors, one for the SoWa Open Market only, and one combo pass for the SoWa and Greenway Open Market.

After being accepted you’ll be sent a link to your personal payment page. You can use this page to pay for your reserved dates or the drop down menu below for the season..
SETUP & OPERATION OF VENDOR BOOTHS:
The SoWa Open Market reserves the right to refuse or terminate any vendor who does not comply with the above guidelines.
TAX ID CERTIFICATES:
Tax ID Numbers are REQUIRED in Massachusetts. All Exhibitors must be in compliance with State & Federal Tax Laws and display Tax ID Certificate in booth. This is required for both in state and out of state vendors. If you do not have a tax id certificate, you can obtain one online in a few minutes at no cost. Click HERE to register with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cash refunds will not be granted for paid dates, instead a credit may be applied toward a future market date (credits will not be extended to the following season or other market locations). All cancellations must be received in writing (email or letter) 10 days prior to each reserved market. Please include the day you are rescheduling for. If you miss the 10 day deadline, you are still responsible for payment regardless if you attend or not. Credits will not be issued if the remainder of scheduled dates at the SoWa Open Market are sold out. In order to receive a credit, please read Switching Dates below.
SWITCHING DATES:
In order to switch a date we need at least 10 days written (by email) notice. Vendors are permitted one date switch per season, so please choose carefully. Send date switch request to: admin@sowaopenmarket.com
WEATHER
POLICY:
The SoWa Open Market is a rain or shine market. Please be prepared by bringing the required set-up materials (tents or awnings). In the event of a cancellation due to severe weather, credits or refunds will not be granted.
PROMOTER STATEMENT:
The SoWa Open Market managers and promoters reserve the right to restrict or terminate any vendor’s activity or remove any product, which, in their opinion, is objectionable or inappropriate or is detrimental to the quality of the event as a whole. In the event of any restrictions or evictions, the SoWa Open Market and its affiliates will not be liable for any refund of rental or other expenses.
The SoWa Open Market managers and promoters reserves the right to remove, without refund or recourse, any exhibitor who misrepresents himself or his product. In addition, the promoter reserves the right not to select vendors who may not be suitable for the market.
The SoWa Open Market reserves the right to amend or add to the applicable rules pertaining to and governing the SoWa Open Market at any time during and before the operating season. All participating vendors at the SoWa Open Market will be made aware of all additions or amendments. The interpretation of all the rules by the promoters shall be final.
